F. A. Q.  about the Paintings & Prints

Can you tell me more information about the Original Paintings ?

All of the Original Paintings are done in oil from a basic 5 to 7 color pallet. All paint is applied by hand with a variety of brushes and not the aid of any spray equipment. A tremendous amount of time and thought are put into each painting from the planning process to the final brush stroke of the signature.

All of the Non western original paintings are painted on one of the highest quality linen materials offered that is hand stretched over heavy duty stretcher bars with double cross braces. They are all gallery wrapped with the edges painted black and are ready to be hung. All are painted in one of two sizes. Either 48”x36”x1 1/2” or 40”x30”x 1 1/2”.

Can you tell me more information about the Prints ?

The process of printing has made a lot of technical advancements and improvements over the years. The goal is to duplicate the original paintings as close as possible and we use the best method available, which is called “Giclee” printing. We are fortunate to be able to utilize one of the best facilities with the most updated equipment and experienced staff to end up with one of the finest prints available. After the image is captured, it is fine tuned, using proof prints until the image is close to the original as possible. This process is very time consuming and requires a lot of expertize and patients to get the colors matched to the original along with the detail that is in the original painting. The best updated inks (not dye) and printers are used.

A Giclee print is very stable, offering fade and color shift resistance for many, many years. With the proper care, Giclee prints have been estimated to last many generations.  Of coarse humidity and light conditions are major factors that determine the print life which can be controlled. Canvas prints can be carefully cleaned with a lightly damp soft cotton cloth with “no” glass cleaner, furniture polish or other harsh chemicals.

Premium Canvas are used and then coated with special protective UV coating. Stretched canvas prints are attached over wooden stretcher bars with the hanging hardware in place. The wrap around edges are black to duplicate the original painting. Due to high shipping cost our larger Canvas Prints  are sold stretched or unstretched. If purchased unstretched, the canvas comes with a 3" boarder for easier stretching, rolled in a tube or already stretched, hanger wire attached and ready to hang.

All Giclee Paper Prints are made of a heavy duty pro luster paper which really brings out the colors and are sold with a foam backing board in a clear acid free bag.

All Giclee Canvas & Paper Prints  are sold in a Limited Edition of 250. Each is hand signed & numbered.  A "Certificate of Authencity" is included with all Giclee Prints (except for  11"x14" Paper Prints).
